At Lace Lithography, we’re looking for an experienced and thoughtful Head of People to join us in Bergen or Barcelona. You’ll lead all things people - from HR strategy and personal development to culture, onboarding, and community.

We’re building a revolutionary chip lithography technology that will dramatically improve chip performance for decades to come. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.

About the Role

As Head of People, you’ll report to the COO and lead the full people function at Lace. You’ll set our HR strategy, own the recruitment process end-to-end, and work closely with our team to ensure everyone at Lace can grow, thrive, and do their best work.

You’ll be the architect of onboarding, the engine behind personal development across the company, the steward of our culture, and the person making sure the Lace experience - from first contact to company offsites - feels personal, world-class, and uniquely us.

This role is based in either Bergen or Barcelona, and will involve regular travel between our two locations throughout the year.

What you’ll do

• Define and lead Lace’s people and HR strategy in alignment with company goals
• Own and continuously improve the recruitment process (in collaboration with our Talent Acquisition Specialist)
• Drive a thoughtful and scalable onboarding experience for all new Lacers
• Manage immigration and relocation support for international hires
• Lead the company-wide personal development program, including quarterly growth goals
• Be a sensor and steward of company culture, helping it evolve as we grow
• Organize offsites, internal gatherings, and external people-focused events
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and people operations across jurisdictions
• Implement and manage people systems, tooling, and reporting
• Act as a key thought partner to the leadership team on org design, engagement, and team health
• Travel regularly between our Bergen and Barcelona offices to stay connected to both sites
  

Who you are

• You have5+ years of experience in People/HR roles, preferably in high-growth startups or tech companies
• You’ve worked across both strategic HR and hands-on people operations
• You know how to build scalable, people-first systems that support ambitious teams
• You’re empathetic, communicative, and comfortable engaging across functions and cultures
• You thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments where change is constant
• You’re experienced with recruitment, onboarding, personal development, and cultural design
• You speak fluent English (bonus if you also speak Spanish or Norwegian)
• You’re based in - or open to relocating to - Bergen or Barcelona
• You’re open to regular travel between Lace locations and enjoy being close to the team
