Lace Lithography is looking for an independent and solution-oriented Workshop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a mechanical workshop, while helping the wider enterprise with mechanically focussed tasks. We value initiative and are looking for someone who enjoys both hands-on mechanical work and digital documentation.
This role is based in Bergen (Norway).
Key Responsibilities
We expect you to:
Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on mechanical vacuum pumps, prototyping equipment (such as small CNCs, 3D printers etc.) and general facility infrastructure.
Manufacture: Be the point of contact for the manufacture and adaptation of mechanical fixings for the Hardware team.Inventory Management: Use defined software systems to register parts usage, manage goods receipts, and maintain an overview of stock levels.
HSE & Quality (HMS): Ensure the workshop complies with Norwegian health, safety, and environmental standards. Participate in safety inspections (vernerunder) and report deviations.
Documentation: Responsible for ensuring service history and declarations of conformity are accurately recorded in our systems.
Qualifications/Experience
Required:
Education: Trade Certificate (Fagbrev) as a mechanic (agricultural, industrial, or automotive), industrial fitter, or equivalent. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of a formal trade certificate.
Language: Good proficiency in Norwegian and english (oral and written) is required for safety instructions.
System Understanding: Experience with ERP systems (such as Xledger) is a significant advantage in our daily operations.
Certificates: Driver’s license Class B (ideally Class T or forklift license T1–T4).
Preferred:
You are structured and take ownership of your workstation.
You have strong collaboration skills and thrive in an environment with a flat organizational structure.
Safety is always your first priority (HSE-focus).
