At Lace Lithography, we’re scaling up our team and looking for a passionate and sharp talent to join us.
In our company we build chip lithography technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.
About the Role:
Lace Lithography is looking for a Junior IT & Security Technician to support our day-to-day IT operations and help strengthen endpoint security across the company.
This is a hybrid role based in Barcelona, focused on employee device support, endpoint management, and security operations. You will be the first point of contact for many IT issues, while also helping maintain a secure and compliant device fleet across our offices in three different locations.
You will work closely with internal teams to keep devices reliable, support onboarding and offboarding, improve user documentation, and assist with operational security tasks such as compliance checks, alert triage, and tooling administration.
What you’ll do:
(This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as needed.)
Provide L1 IT support for employee devices, workplace tools, and endpoint-related issues, both remotely and hands-on, acting as the first point of contact for IT and security-related tickets, triaging, resolving, or escalating them as appropriate.
Execute onboarding and offboarding processes, including device preparation, access-related checklists, and secure recovery of equipment, primarily macOS and some Windows endpoints.
Support basic network administration and troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, office connectivity, VPN access, and coordination/escalation for more advanced network issues.
Monitor fleet compliance to ensure devices are correctly enrolled in required security and management tools such as MDM and EDR, maintaining accurate IT asset records, device status information, and operational documentation.
Help review and triage security alerts and events from endpoint and security platforms, escalating issues when needed.
Who you are:
Required
Technical education, vocational training, or equivalent practical experience in IT support, endpoint administration, or a similar role.
Solid understanding of general IT support fundamentals, including hardware, operating systems, troubleshooting, and user support.
Comfortable supporting macOS devices; familiarity with Windows device support is also required.
Strong written and spoken English.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Organized, reliable, and comfortable following structured operational processes.
Preferred
Experience with Jamf or another MDM / endpoint management platform.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and office / end-user connectivity troubleshooting.
Exposure to device compliance, patching, and endpoint security best practices.
Familiarity with endpoint security tools such as SentinelOne, Microsoft Sentinel, antivirus, EDR, or similar platforms.
Interest in growing into security operations and security analysis support tasks.
Experience writing support documentation or employee-facing technical guides.
[Nice to Have] Jamf Certified Associate – Jamf Pro, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+
